HFSA Outstanding Fellow in Training (FIT) Award

The HFSA Outstanding FIT Award recognizes one or more fellows who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the field of heart failure through excellence in clinical care, research, education, and/or leadership. The Award is open to any fellow in training and you must be an active member of HFSA.

The HFSA Outstanding FIT Award recognizes one or more fellows who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the field of heart failure through excellence in clinical care, research, education, and/or leadership. This award honors an individual who has made meaningful contributions to advancing heart failure care during their training, exemplifying a commitment to professional growth, innovation, service to patients and the heart failure community.

 

2026 Award Information

  • Deadline for Submission: May 10, 2026
  • Award Presentation: HFSA Annual Scientific Meeting 2026 (October 9-12, 2026 | Phoenix, AZ)
  • Notification to Award Winner: June 2026

Eligibility
  • Open to any fellow in training
  • Must hold an active HFSA membership 

Evaluation of nominees and selection of the recipient will be chosen by a majority vote of the Awards Committee and submitted to the HFSA Board of Directors for approval.

Nominations

Each nomination should consist of:

  • A Letter of recommendation from a nominator highlighting the individual’s contributions and impact to HFSA.
  • Nominee CV or resume
