2017 Future Leaders in Heart Failure Testimonials

Attendee Feedback:
Erika Giblin, PharmD – Meeting the current leaders in heart failure, while also connecting with the future leaders from multiple disciplines was inspiring and motivating. This meeting was an exceptional opportunity and I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to attend.

Rachel Wells, MSN – I have spent all day telling my mentors and research team about the weekend! It meant a lot that nurses were invited to share in the weekend. I gathered what I think is some of the most valuable advice about early career and networking opportunities at the event (to put that in perspective- I attend about 1 conference a month).

Faculty Feedback:
Marvin Konstam, MD, FHFSA (Chief Physician Executive, The CardioVascular Center, Tufts University) – Having been to each of the prior meetings, when physicians only, I can say that this one is likely the best. The program was very well conceived and everyone was quite engaged and felt energized by the entire experience. The program gave folks valuable concrete advice – both philosophical and practical and having nurses and pharmacists added to the success.

Lynne Stevenson, MD (Professor of Medicine, Vanderbilt University) – This program was masterfully planned and executed.  I have been at all of the previous events and this one clearly surpassed it in terms of faculty and participant involvement and energy.  Thank you so much for including me.

Patricia Uber, PharmD (VCU Health System) – A great program with what appeared to be the right balance of science with morning presentations and mentoring with discussions on job structure, payment and small group break outs for discipline specific topics   I found the conference to be extremely inspiring and energizing.  HFSA has always been welcoming of multidisciplinary team members and this conference definitely promotes that spirit in the future leaders of heart failure.
